When a house becomes a home.

A house becomes a home through people who care for it!

At Home Base, we see that every day. For young people finding their footing, it's often the little things, like a safe bedroom, a tidy garden, a welcoming living space that help create a sense of belonging, stability and hope.

That's why our partnership with Wilson Homes and NEX Building Group Charitable Foundation, means so much.

Since 2023, their partnership with us has financially supported safety upgrades, property maintenance and essential equipment across our accommodation services. Their investment is helping create safe, welcoming spaces where young Tasmanians can begin to rebuild their lives.

But this partnership has always been about more than funding.

The Wilson Homes team has generously volunteered their time through our Corporate Wrapping Days each year, supported gift collections for young people and families, and rolled up their sleeves to complete maintenance projects, gardening and home improvements at Mara House and Colville Place.

Whether it's refreshing outdoor spaces, lending practical skills or helping with the jobs that often sit on the "one day" list, their contribution has made a lasting difference.

Every replaced appliance, planted garden, painted wall and thoughtful gift contributes to something much bigger than a maintenance project. Together, these acts of generosity send a powerful message: you matter, and your future matters too.

Strong partnerships help us do more than maintain our spaces, they help create places where young people can feel safe, build confidence and focus on what comes next.

We're incredibly grateful to Wilson Homes for standing alongside us since 2023. Together, we're building more than homes. We're creating places where young Tasmanians can find safety, belonging and a future they can believe in.
