SUPPORTING ADOLESCENT BOYS TRIAL
a solid crew in your corner:
Our Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial (SABT) is for young men and adolescent boys aged 12 to 18 who have had an experience of family, domestic and sexual violence.
The aim of this program is to help in the recovery and healing from this experience.
We offer this program in southern and northern Tasmania.
Our team works with you to take charge of your own path, build confidence and work through what really matters to you.
We come to you, wherever you feel safe. The program runs from 6-12 months, and you will do a range of activities that focus on learning and doing.
If it is safe and appropriate to do so, we can also support parents, carers and intimate partners.
THE SUPPORTING ADOLESCENT BOYS TRIAL AIMS TO:
-
Explore pathways with participants to a healthy, non-violent, gender-aware and positive future.
-
improve participants connection to family, education, community and culture.
-
break the intergenerational cycle of violence towards women and help participants avoid choosing to use fdsv.
