POCKET CHANGE WITH POWER!

Dollars for Change is a fundraising initiative powered by Home Base and Hospitality Tasmania turning small coins into big community impact.

The program helps to build a better place for young Tasmanians to learn and grow by collecting donations across participating Hospitality Tasmania venues with every dollar staying right here in Tasmania. Together, we’re backing young Tasmanians with the support, skills and sense of belonging they need to thrive. Every dollar donated helps young people in Tassie feel seen, supported and inspired to shape their future with confidence.

Dollars for Change will play a key role in achieving great outcomes across Tasmania, driven by strong community support and participation! It’s something everyone can get behind - whether you’re a business or a patron - Grab an envelope and back your community, one dollar at a time!

  • Once you submit a simple form, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time to deliver everything you need to get started. We’ll take you through the program and chat to you about checking in, collecting donations, impact you’re having and getting your story as well so we can let people know who you are. If you want to chat more about joining, please give us a call on 1800 955 700 or email us at fundraising@homebasetas.org.au.

  • Yes, absolutely. When they place their change in the envelope, they can fill in a section with their name, email and tick a box to get a receipt. When we collect envelopes, we will issue this for them.

  • We will work with you on this, and contact you regularly. To start with it might be quarterly, but if you’ve had a busy month, we can come earlier. We will work with you on what suits you best.

  • We will update the website each time we make a collection, and we’ll update your team on the amount collected specifically from your venue. We’ll also collect stories and provide impact reporting to Hospitality Tasmania on a bi-annual basis.
