EDUCATION SUPPORT PILOT
reaching your full potenitial.
The Education Support Pilot (ESP) is a five-year, multi-disciplinary Program for unaccompanied children and young people aged 12-25 experiencing homelessness. It provides targeted support to those at risk of disengagement or facing complex barriers to engagement with education, training, and/or work.
This innovative Program offers individualised, wrap-around support to approximately 50 Participants, helping them to:
overcome barriers to education, training and/or work;
improve wellbeing and resilience; and
strengthen their connection to community services and opportunities.
It is built on the belief that every young person deserves the support and stability needed to reach their full potential. By pairing participants staying with us at Mara House and Colville Place with an Engagement Coach for up to two years, we can provide consistent, trusted relationships that many young people may not have otherwise experienced.
Our team will work with the young person to nurture their educational, training and/or work engagement; well-being; and career aspirations. This strengthens their confidence, equips them with lifelong skills, and empowers them to pursue their personal and professional goals with a sense of agency and hope.
Please note, as this program works with young people in our services, it is not open for external referrals at this stage.

we’re taking a collaborative approach!
We know it takes a village, and we need to work collaboratively with those in our community to make a far greater impact.
With this program, each participant develops an individual Coaching Plan with their Engagement Coach, ensuring that all supports (such as coaching, tutoring and/or assessments) are tailored to their needs and preferences.
This person-centred model empowers young people to take an active role in their learning and development.
The Program is co-produced with young people and guided by our ESP Advisory Group. The Advisory Group oversees Program development, delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement through annual reviews.
