YOUTH CAREER FACILITATOR

BUILDING TASMANIA’S FUTURE WORKFORCE!

The Youth Career Facilitator (YCF) connects schools, students and industry to strengthen pathways into high-demand careers. By creating vocational learning opportunities, the project ensures that students are prepared for employment in key industries, including:

Building & Construction
Tourism & Hospitality
Agriculture
Health & Community Services
Manufacturing
Early Education and Care Services

The program helps local businesses engage with students in Years 9 to 12 by coordinating vocational learning opportunities, industry experiences and clear career pathways. This ensures students gain work skills while businesses connect with future employees in high demand industries. Vocational Learning helps students develop the practical skills and knowledge needed for employment. It focuses on hands-on experiences, industry connections and training that meets the needs of schools, students and industries.

Our Youth Career Facilitator, Renee, is excited to work with local businesses, schools and training providers to introduce and create opportunities around Southern Tasmania.

HOW IT WORKS:

IT'S FREE

The YCF works with businesses and schools to arrange pathways, work placements, training and career opportunities.
IT'S FLEXIBLE

Businesses can participate in a range of ways, from short-term engagements like guest speaking to long-term commitments like hosting apprentices.
IT'S A PARTNERSHIP

We provide guidance and coordination to ensure businesses, students and schools get the most out of their collaboration.
