a home base christmas.
This Christmas, we’re celebrating what matters most: Safety, connection, and the joy of belonging. For many young Tasmanians, the festive season can be a hard reminder of what’s missing. But together, we can change that story.
At Home Base, we help young people build strong, stable foundations. Turning insecurity into opportunity, and dreams into futures. This Christmas, your gift will help us fill hampers that bring comfort, connection, and hope to young Tasmanians who need it most.
Every item is more than a gift. It’s the comfort of belonging, a joyful moment, and proof that someone believes in them.
Because every young person deserves to feel at home this holiday season. And every dream deserves a place to grow.
A LITTLE GIFT CAN MEAN A LOT!
this festive season, your gift helps fill hampers, create safe spaces, and bring moments of joy to people who need it most!
give joy this christmas.
This Christmas, imagine a young Tasmanian opening a hamper full of surprises. Inside, there’s the shampoo and toothpaste they need, a cozy throw rug to snuggle up with, a small squishy toy that makes them smile, and a board game they can play with family or friends. There’s even a lunchbox for back-to-school, and a power bank to keep them connected.
Every hamper, every gift, every moment of joy matters. This festive season, help a family or young person in our service feel safe, supported, and believed in.
Every gift you give this Christmas helps young Tasmanians, or a family, feel safe, supported, and connected. At Home Base, we work to turn insecurity into opportunity — building strong foundations and bright futures.
Your donation helps fill hampers with essentials and treats that bring comfort and joy and shows young people they’re not alone.
From hampers to hearts — let’s make this Christmas merry, bright, and full of belonging!

a new chapter for hobart’s community christmas lunch…
After more than 43 years of bringing the Hobart community together on Christmas Day, we are handing over the reins of the much-loved Community Christmas Lunch to CatholicCare Tasmania.
We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting this event however it was time to hand it over to ensure its continued growth and future.
We look forward to watching this tradition grow with the same spirit of generosity, inclusion and joy that has defined it for the past four decades.
Christmas Lunch, which wouldn’t be the success it is without amazing venue and catering sponsors In The Hanging Garden and Flint Kitchen will continue this year with all the trimmings the community knows and loves.
