Setting up a Home Base at The Mind Games
This year, we were fortunate enough to be gifted a stage sponsorship opportunity by The Mind Games team, as a not-for-profit organisation deeply embedded in the Tasmanian community.
Why? Because they believe that the principles of workplace happiness and safety should be accessible to all organisations, irrespective of their size or the nature of their work.
“We work in an environment where our staff see and hear about traumatic events daily, so it’s important that our leaders know how to recognise and engage with our team to help relieve stress and anxiety before it gets too much” said Di, our Home Base CEO.
“The Mind Games is the perfect place to let go, build relationships and have fun. We’re looking forward to designing an engaging stage and getting involved in the biggest and best TMG yet. Thank you for having us along.”
By offering this sponsorship to Home Base, The Mind Games aim to bring the spotlight not just on workplace safety but on the wellbeing and happiness of those who make the workplace what it is: its people.
And our people had a load of fun.
“This year, we hosted a giant size version of Pictionary. We came up with 400 words that meant something to us; be it Tasmanian icons, activities young people have told us they enjoy, or the range of emotions people bring when they come to visit our services. ”
We then watched 50 teams battle it out in a drawing contest!
Thank you to The Mind Games for the opportunity to connect – our team really enjoyed talking to all the businesses that joined us and laughing with each other over drawings that may have gone a little bit wrong.
Thank you also to Salters Hire, Xanderware and Fiona Bell Design Studio for your support in getting our stage up and running.
